NEW PATIENT APPOINTMENTS

New patient appointments can be made by contacting reception by telephone or in person.

At the time of booking we will email out a link to enable you to complete a medical history form and oral health survey. This will ensure the clinician is aware of any medical conditions and can also provide you with a bespoke treatment plan as required.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A new patient examination is a 30 minute appointment where your medical history, dental needs and full mouth examination is carried out. This includes an assessment which looks at your individual risk of dental caries (decay), tooth wear, periodontal (gum) disease and oral cancer. X-rays may be taken if clinically necessary.

The dentist will then discuss your treatment plan. This will include options available, costs and further appointments required. The dentist may advice that you visit one of our hygienists to help maintain or improve your oral health. Indeed if you have been used to seeing a hygienist regularly at your previous practice you may want to book this directly at reception along with your new patient appointment.
